Homecoming week begins with the homecoming parade on Wednesday, October 14th with the Homecoming Parade. The school will open at 5:30 p.m. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. and will proceed from the Parking lot of the Mercer Methodist Church down Butler Street to the High School. When the parade reaches the high school, the marching band will disperse from in front of the auditorium. Fronts are to wear their warm-up and tennis shoes, and instrumentalists should wear their band t-shirt w/ a long sleeve shirt underneath, blue jeans and tennis shoes for the parade. Be sure that you are at the Methodist Church Parking Lot by no later than 5:50 p.m. for line-up and tuning prior to the parade.
The 5M Band is proud to announce they will be hosting their annual Alumni Band event on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Mercer Football Game vs. Conneaut High School. The schedule for the day will be as follows:
3:00-3:30 p.m. Registration in the band room for Alumni (you will need to sign-in in the main entrance – your name will be on a list with a name-tag)
3:30-5:00 p.m. Rehearsal on field with the 5M Band (Begin in Band Room & move to field at 4:15 p.m.)
5:00-6:00 p.m. Dinner for the Alumni in the LGI (Old Band Room)
6:20-6:40 p.m. Warm-up/ music rehearsal and march to the field (Of Pride and Patriots enroute)
6:40-6:55 p.m. Pre-game show including Hooked on a Feeling, Gimme Some Lovin, Uptown Funk, Star-Spangled Banner, Alma Mater plus move to tunnel for the Football team with the Fight Song as the team enters the field)
7:00 p.m. Game begins (Stands music, and Fight Song at the end of the 1st quarter)
Half-time – Alumni watch Homecoming Queen Crowning
The alumni are welcome to stay and perform from the stands during the 4th quarter. The 5M will have the 3rd quarter off, and hopefully you will have an opportunity to connect with a few of the current members!
The cost of the event (including commemorative t-shirt, and pre-game dinner) is $1o (Checks should be payable to Mercer Band Boosters – please pay that day).

As a reminder, our first concert for the Senior High Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Middle School Concert Band is coming up on Monday, October 19th at 7:30 p.m. Attire for ALL MS Band, HS Concert Band, and HS Wind Ensemble is ALL BLACK. See Dr. Weller if you have questions!

Indoor Marching Band Show Advance Tickets will be available on October 22nd.
